SIP

SIP? home phone service will be essential for those that want a backup to cellular. Wifi? calling is supported with all PCS1 cellular plans, so you don’t need a SIP line if you just have bad cellular reception. Your calls can carry over wifi without you having to do anything else. The SIP line is for people that either need or want a home phone line for whatever the reason.

Unless Senitrus Computers exist, and offer their W series for their handhelds, there will be no selling of phones nor ATA?s. Instead, you would connect your device to your home LAN?, and use the Web interface of your device to enter your credentials. Your server will be tel.pcs1.ws. You UID will be your full telephone number with just the numbers (such as 14125551010). Your password will be 20 characters long so you would want to copy and paste which is why you should log in with the web interface of your device. All you would need to provide is a dedicated connection of at least 1MBPS, and a latency of less than 100ms. If you can provide that, you would be able to have SIP home phone service.

Each phone line will cost $10 per month, and will provide 1 telephone number. You can also turn on eFax with outgoing faxes costing 10ยข per page, and will require that you have a prepaid pool of money. All outgoing eFaxes will send to telephone-number@fax.pcs1.ws. If the incoming service does not detect a fax, it will send the caller to your voicemail. You will need to turn this feature on, and non-faxes will not ring your phone.
